High-Yield TAS Topics

Physiology

Respiratory, cardiovascular, renal, endocrine and neonatal physiology.

Pharmacology

Drug action, side effects, prescribing principles and common paediatric medicines.

Pathology

Mechanisms of disease, inflammation, infection, genetics and metabolic conditions.

Evidence & Science

Research basics, statistics, epidemiology and evidence-based medicine.

How to Study for TAS

1. Understand, Do Not Memorise Only

TAS tests concepts. Try to understand why something happens, not just the final answer.

2. Use Simple Notes

Make short notes for difficult physiology, pharmacology and pathology topics.

3. Practise Questions Early

Questions show you how theory is tested in the exam. Review every wrong answer carefully.

4. Revise Repeatedly

TAS concepts fade quickly. Repeat weak topics many times before the exam.

Important: Do not read too many books. Choose a few reliable resources and revise them properly.
